Katherine and Corey got married in a small, private ceremony at the Frankenmuth Brewery in Frankenmuth, Michigan. If you are a Michigander, you have likely visited Frankenmuth at some point in your life. If you have, you know that it is magical. Katherine and Corey celebrated their renaissance wedding with costumes and elaborate hair designs. I even got to spend the day with Stephanie, a blooming photographer herself, and I couldn’t think of a better wedding to share with her to bulk up her portfolio.
I met Katherine and Corey during back on a snowy winter day for their engagement session in my hometown of Fenton. It was freezing, but they were perfect and laid back.

I knew before I met them that Katherine and Corey were day-to-day heroes. They are both EMTs in the Bay City area and are risking their lives every day to make sure their community is safe. What’s more is that their friends are also in the healthcare industry and are just as amazing as they are. I was honored to be a part of their day in a time where things are so unsure on a daily basis. They worked so hard to get to their wedding day, all the while serving their community in ways that many of us are not able to.
I am obsessed with this wedding. From the intricate hair stylings to the costumes that both the wedding party and the guests chose to wear. Magical is the perfect word for Katherine and Corey’s wedding day. The bride chose a deep purple corseted gown with golden embroidery. Her bridesmaids were dressed in jewel tones. The groom donned a couplet with an axe at his waist and a faux fur cape. His groomsmen were decked out in medieval weapons and capes. Katherine and Corey’s guests came dressed head to toe in renaissance dresses, capes, kilts and headdresses. There was even a tiny fairy to top it all off!
Every ounce of me wishes that I, too, had a magnificent gown to wear to this ball. So please excuse my photo dump because this wedding was just everything and more. Is it too much? Very likely. Do I care? Not one bit.
