Savannah + Kyle’s Fairy Tale Wedding | Michigan Wedding Photographer

When Savannah first reached out to me about booking her wedding day photography, she told me two things: 1. she and Kyle workout together and it’s a huge part of their relationship and 2. they are both cute! She wasn’t wrong on either front. Thus a fairy tale wedding was born and booked.

Arriving to see Savannah as she was preparing to leave her hotel room for the venue was as magical as their fairy tale wedding was going to end up being. First of all, she’s basically a freaking model. I walked into the room to a tall, tan, fit, beauty with long, wavy, dark hair. But do you know what? It was like she didn’t even realize how gorgeous she was – Savannah is humble, soft spoken and kind. And she had the BEST time with her friends that day.

Kyle is the perfect match for Savannah – he has a confident charm and is so utterly in love with her, as she is with him. He was simply ecstatic to be marrying his best friend that day!

Fairy Tale Wedding

The venue was beautifully decorated with blush and cream florals and deep greenery – the perfect match for the fairy tale wedding look and feel of the day. San Marino Club has a gorgeous staircase leading from the indoor ceremony location up to the bridal suites. It’s absolutely perfect for those classic photos that most couples dream of for their wedding day.

Not only was the decor idyllic, but the entire atmosphere of the day was actually a dream come true for Savannah and Kyle. During their vows, Savannah read that only a few months before, she wasn’t sure if she was going to even make it to their wedding day, being in and out of the hospital and extremely ill. It was indeed a fairy tale ending that she was able to stand at the alter with Kyle and say those vows.

To top off their ceremony and make it completely them – the bride and groom opted to replace a typical unity ceremony with a gym barbell ceremony. They each added a barbell on and lifted it together as one.

The Princess and the Party

Immediately after the ceremony, we got to explore the property – San Marino Club actually has a secondary property for outdoor weddings. We headed over there and were met with vine covered brick which was perfect for photos. Kyle even showed off his famous handstands for us – dang! If only I could do that myself LOL.

After photos it was finally time for everyone to let loose and get down. The DJ was phenomenal and the couple had been gifted a caricature artist for the day as well. Guests were on the dance floor from start to finish shaking everything that they had!
